When Napster died I went on a frenzy downloading every Hip Hop song I could think of. I then got a hold of some digital mixing software (thanks Gersh) and decided to put together a compilation of the best of ’em.

Each track is segued using many, many different samples on overlay tracks and using beatmixing, just like when I used to play actual records (GASP!).

The best way to hear the whole thing is to burn the tracks in the correct order onto an audio CD and blast it in your car. Most MP3 players insert space between tracks as they’re playing, so they’ll probably screw up the wonderful artistry of the mixes & blends if you try to play it that way. 🙂

** Make sure you select “Disc At Once” when you burn the CD and nuke any pauses that your burning software tries to insert into the tracks.

Total running time is 73:17, and contains 18 tracks. I think that this is the best mix I have ever made. Certainly took enough time.
