I can sympathize with artists who are creative and receive no compensation because people can obtain it for free. What would happen if people could drive cars off the lot for free? There is an argument there. Do you have that kind of talent? If you did would you be upset that your products were being “driven off the lot free of charge?

Lump Loreena in with the Metallica fossils in the discount bin for half price CDs. It isn’t about selling plastic or vinyl anymore. Loreena is living in 1985.

I wouldn’t worry about it normally as the free market would normally sort this sort of dinosaur thinking out as it has for many other industries. The problem here is the fat hand of government is now threatening to prop up dying pathetic industry by putting in draconian copyright laws to please the US record and film companies. That is wrong and up to Canadians to let their government know that it is not OK to be subservient to the US media lobbyists.
