This just goes to show that there are multiple possibilities for the Alternative Search Engines to succeed.

What is needed now is a way to select the very best option, and then throw our collective weight behind it.

If we go in four directions, or no direction, it’s hard to remain optimistic.

I keep wondering about this problem too, and I can’t decide whether or not the opportunity currently exists, or if its something that happens as a result of more semantic technologies. I wrote a post awhile ago called The Semantic Stack, and OWL seems like the perfect way to tie these kinds of relevant terms together. Or perhaps there’s some kind of technology stack lying around that could be used for this *cough*
