Combining one “big stadium” event per year, with small community games, and EU Tier 1 would be a great combo. Some comments out of Buffalo were to make the game an annual New Year’s event. Key word “event”. The American market loves a good reason to tail gate, drink cold beer in the winter, and act crazy along with 71K other fans. The idea of establishing hockey into American New Year’s traditions would be an interesting play. For sure with the small community games. A hand full of games should be played in smaller markets… or even larger ones… ie. Canucks playing a game in Seattle vs. San Jose. A grudge match where Seattle is the agreed upon neutral arena.

JR

PS. DONT make the nets bigger. The game is great now and better then it has been in years. Amazing goals, and goaltending.

PSS. Ian… are your pads back to regulation yet?
